Many years ago I researched this excellent book and observed that it was at least 90% very accurate.

Some of my friends at the Crow Agency in Montana seemed to agree that it was a well written and a well researched book.

The mini series only reflects a few chapters of the book however the miniseries is mostly accurate.

Especially with Custer appearing preoccupied to his family members and friends ( possibly per his future military service with the army)

BTW… Custer AGAIN violated orders that he was not allowed to have any Journalists’ accompany and record his military heroics.

Custer hand picked a well known Journalist to accompany the 7th Cav.

One really bad decision Custer made was to leave his company of Light (Horse) Artillery behind. At this time cavalry were still composed of roughly the same TO&E as they were in the Civil War. One... more

Sharon! Don't hold back! Get that demon out of your system. Being from deep in Dixie, I probably should highly dislike the young general, but I have to admit he was a fighting machine during the WBTS.... more
