Nice post...

Hello Bob,

Thought no one was giving you a bad time so had better get back to work!

All kidding aside, that was a very nice post to each of us, Pete and I, and is appreciated.

My new book is about ready for the publisher. Just have to go over it one more time to take care of all the yellow sticky notes in the drawer because I know you will be on your toes and can't stand the thought of disappointing you. Meet publisher tomorrow.

I think you are as right as anyone can be at this time about Kate. I just am not convinced she was an habitual drunk. There's no record I know of that suggests it. We will likely never know unless one of those tidy tidbits come up one day. But it seems clear she was pretty disappointed in Doc.

Anything concrete on the story Doc headed to Charlottesville looking for Billy Clanton after the stage debacle? It sounds like gossip but does coincide with Doc's approach toward Billy in Tombstone the day of the fight. And all three of the Earp bunch seemed bent on finishing off Billy though he was in poor position to be a real threat at the time he went down.

Nothing sits easy with me!

Have you had a chance to look at the Wyatt Earp Anthology or Bossenecker's RIDE THE DEVIL'S HERD?
