Thanks, Peter. You are right. In trying to get a cross-section of material on Wyatt, et.al., we had a whole lot of decisions to make on what was included and what was omitted. My biggest regret is not was included but what had to be omitted. At 861 pages, it was the largest number of pages the binder could do. We considered going to two volumes but UNT Press thought only the one that included OK Corral stories would sell well. The single volume has been UNT's biggest selling book ever! My biggest regret is that excellent articles by Lee Silva, Steve Gatto, and Neil Carmony were cut. Of course, there are no articles included by a certain naysayer, who identifies himself as an "expert" and "leading authority" because he has never written anything for the general public.
An anthology on the "Cast of Characters" would be great!
