...in your post you suggested that as most of the evidence was all 'post-mortem'...deduced to fit the 'facts' of Billy being unarmed and bearing the stigmata of innocence when he hit the ground...

I wanted to mention that no witness testimony I can remember reached out for sympathy in any way for Billy or indicated any idea that he was innocently shot down. He was not known in town and probably almost no one knew much about him.

But going back over several testimonies, the description of Billy's disadvantage is quite well related and the medical references I mentioned support his putting his hands out and up and Morgan's shot destroying his wrist. Interestingly, Virgil as well as other witnesses described shooting at Billy by all three Earps....when Billy was down and had not yet succeeded in getting his gun all the way out.
